Holiday 2022 Release Dates

The holiday season is approaching fast! On the farm, we are wrapping up our growing season and working on fiber processing in full force. We have soap, ornaments, wool dryer balls, hats and yarn all coming for this holiday season. Below are the dates you should expect to see these items in the shop!

September 9

As promised, two new cold process soaps will be available on this date. They are already listed on the shop and you can see them here. As always, if you have any questions about our soap, feel free to send us a message.

Also on September 9 we are releasing our wool dryer balls. At this point these will be a regular item in our shop and we are also making these available for wholesale purchase. Please feel free to email for wholesale information. You can also find the information on our Faire.com site.

October 14

October 14 is a huge date for our shop! We will finally be releasing our farm to closet, made with hand spun yarn made by our alpaca, hats! Details will be given on our instagram as the date approaches. I will also be placing up the listings a week prior to the release.

November 11

Our final holiday release is our much anticipated yarn and alpaca ornaments. Our ornaments will be similar to those that were on our instagram page last December. They are 100 percent alpaca sourced from our farm.

Our yarn is hand spun, 100 % alpaca, blended and processed on our farm. We will have two blended varieties, a black variety, cream and brown available on this date. Check our Instagram stories for updates and more information as this date approaches.

Looking Forward

As we approach 2023, I will be opening up waitlists for hats and alpaca yarn. Hand spinning yarn is a time consuming endeavor which we love to do and we appreciate your support and patience as we carefully create the items that we carry. In order to provide for those who have been waiting to place orders, we want to open up waitlists for these items. The waitlists will be limited and the wait will be approximately 1-2 months. I will be opening up these waitlists in mid-November.

The Buzzard Farm is a small, regenerative fiber farm in the Pennsylvanian Appalachian Region. As an aspiring carbon neutral fiber producer, we hope to merge farming and cloth production by means of knitting machines and looms. Our ultimate goal is to produce clothing as a small scale manufacturer, designer, and fiber supplier. By enacting responsible rotational grazing, composting manure to spread on healing lands, we hope to help our planet by greatly improving our overall soil health while keeping our own carbon footprint as small as possible.

Fiber farming today is an uphill battle. Competing with fast fashion simply isn't an option. Each garment is made slowly and until we reach our goal of becoming a factory led company made from locally made cloth, we will be taking donations to contribute to our animal husbandry and ongoing slow fashion work.

Joining us on this mission to local sustainable cloth is the Rustbelt fibershed, our local fibershed sector. 30 percent of all donations we receive goes directly to their community involvement.
